Income Generating Projects

In order to boost its coffers the council has various income generating projects which it  has embarked on. Projects  include

  • Borehole Drilling Rig: 
  • Donain Gold Mining and Milling Plant: 
  • Overlaw Farm
  • Mamina Fuel Service Station
  • Turf Gum Plantation and treatment plant:

Borehole drilling


As part of its income generating projects the council provides borehole drilling services to any individual or organisation. The council also has equipment such as graders

Donain Gold Milling Plant

The gold milling plant is boosting Gold production among small scale farmers they are now able to easily process their  ore and reduce production cost. It is also creating employment within the local community 

Turf Gum Tree Plantation

The council has a gum tree plantation and a processing plant for treatment of the harvested trees

Overlaw farm

The council is involved in various farming projects at overlaw farm which include piggery , horticulture , beef product and maize production

Equipment Hire


The council has acquired machinery which its can hire out . The council has got graders , tractors ,compactors ,jcd ,  loaders among others.
